I have just bought a new Qashqai and nothing’s changed. Looking at online forums, it seems it has been like this for many years.

I find it extraordinary that this information is not in the “Warranty Booklet and Maintenance Record” book that is supplied with the car.

As has been said this is simply a generic Nissan service book with no detail of what’s needed and when.

Poor show NISSAN !

As regards periodic maintenance (PM) and the Warranty and Maintenance Record book.

The said book was supplied with my 67 plate (Printed in the Netherlands) and simply describes the tasks to be undertaken. On completion of year one Nisan PM a separate Nissan headed sheet was supplied...tick box sheet per detailed item. The Maintenance booklet was not endorsed as once was the case ...way back when?

For the 1.6T petrol engine I found this Maint Doc on the web :

Rv8, hopefully what I am going to mention is not because I live in Berlin, but there does always appear to be many comments on UK Nissan Dealerships and their attitudes. We have had New, a Micra / Note / Juke / QQ from the same Dealer so I suppose there is some form of relationship now and perhaps a better service, although this Dealer is in a small country area outside of Berlin - Dave 😉

This is just a guide on what we experienced : Ours is a 2014 QQ and when new we received a Catologue, Manual, Service Book for Maintenance / Bodywork which has been filled in at every Service and an attached Maintenance Plan Kms / Parts recommended to be changed etc. After each Service there is a 2 Page Service List, the Bill which is explained, a Nissan 1year Mobility Extension Paper, QQ is washed FOC, a lease Car costs €0,18 / Km. After the Service it is normal to receive an email from the Dealer with a question list and sometimes a Nissan Call Centre calls with a person to person question list. I hope this explains our experience. When you find a Good Dealer then stay there ! 👍

Thanks Dave.

I can’t comment on my dealers standard of service, which I’m sure will be impeccable. The problem is I have no idea when my service is due !

I am following this up with the dealership and, if necessary, Nissan UK. So far all they’ve done is check other new car packs, and say they’re all the same.

Its annually or at each 12k miles - which ever comes first, Same for most cars really and should be in other doc packs at dealers etc.

The information should be in the “Warranty Booklet and Maintenance Record” - there should be a section stuck in - check out https://www.qashqaiforums.co.uk/viewtopic.php?t=4364#p40498 for example

Sorry but that's incorrect.

For a J11 the intervals were 12,500 miles/12 months for a petrol and 18,000 miles/12 months for a diesel

I can't imagine that they'd be less for the early J11b although the engines have more recently changed so I suspect all later J11b's at 18,000 miles/12 months.

For example check out this topic:
kezzaa wrote: Mon Jan 21, 2019 5:30 pm Hi - I have a new 1.3 Dig-T PS140 QQ Tekna. The service interval is 18000 miles or 12 months. Since I drive a low mileage I will require an annual service.
Nissan offer major services for £269 and minor for £199.

What will my year 1, 2 and 3 services be ? ( major / minor )

12 months (annually) gets it and petrol/diesel. And its not absolute or punishable.

I emailed Nissan CS, quoting my VIN and Reg No. They emailed back a pdf of a service schedule applicable to my car.
