battery failed

Went to start the car a few days ago and it was dead, RAC called, battery showed in a poor level of charge but once the car was started the battery passed the tests. Took the car to the Nissan dealers today in Worthing and the battery was tested and replaced under warranty,I was told there was "a bad batch" and they were aware of the issue, and to back it up I spoke to a case manager at Nissan who confirmed there was to be a recall.

I'd started to lose confidence in the qashqai, a month ago the turbo gave up on the motorway, replaced under warranty. Nissan customer service has generally been poor, it was difficult to get hold of anyone who could get things moving, took almost a week before the the turbo warranty work was authorised which is unacceptable. They did give me a hire car for the 2 weeks mine was off the road but trying to get my car recovered the 450 miles from Perth to Brighton was a bit of a fight with them.

Hope the qashqai behaves itself from now on :D

A number have reported battery issues, buy I thought it was related to early 2014 models.
Mine however, has behaved to date. Be interesting to see details of the battery recall.

I thought it was early 2015 models - my May 2015 Fiamm battery was replaced. Stop/Start still only works very very occasionally.

My July 2015 Fiamm battery also died. The car's now sporting a nice chunky AGM battery from Bosch.

Hmm...makes me wonder if I will have problems with mine further down the line, mine is from May 16 but has a Fiamm battery.

I too had battery failure in my 2014 Qashqai. New battery fitted under warranty. Current problems are key not identified when trying to start car, creaking steering column and door open and lock button sometimes does not work. Anyone else had these problems?

Had my 65 plate Fiamm battery replaced under warranty last week. I had no warning it just failed... Nissan replaced it without quibble with a Nissan genuine item.

I also have creaky steering at the moment too.
