Sandgrounder, forgot this comment I checked the Diameter of the Subwoofer today and it was 41cm and the Styropor Dia was 43cm - see my pics. It looks like the Subwoofer will sit in the wheel although possibly slightly protruding - Dave

Hoping to get the new QQ later on this year but I'm not sure that I want to go with the Pro Pilot, as it looks as if there will be quite a premium to pay (and not sure that I'd feel completely safe on the motorway) I want an automatic and don't need a diesel, so unfortunately that narrows it down to a 1.2 litre. Is this powerful enough? I'm also wondering which trim level - do I need park assist? I'd like to know what people think about this feature
I rather like leather seats and I do like the panoramic roof!!
So many questions, but do people have any thoughts? I'd appreciate some suggestions ....

We got a tekna 1.5 dci in June so I can't comment on the 1.2 petrol.
IMO the park assist is a gimmick as it's too slow to use in real life (people get angry and start beeping & shouting)
Leather seats are ok but I personally would have preferred cloth due to leather being hot in summer & cold in winter.
Panoramic roof most people love it but again I would have preferred to not have it.

Mark, in reply to your question on prices you look to have a bargain price if all the Specs are the same especially if it is the new model. The Nissan website price for a J11B is Tekna + Manual £27830 & an Xtronic £29280. Here in Germany the prices are €32190 & €33840. Both in the U.K. & Germany the new J11B has a Bose Sound System or are you refering to the older J11A Tekna version - Dave

Hi Dave thanks for your reply... am looking at the new model and tomorrow I shall order it but still negotiating for a good price. The bose is available as i re talked with my agent and the price is an extra €700

The Driver's Guide app has been updated for the new Qashqai today and the Connect app was updated the other day (although that has nothing new to report!)

I have only used park assist 5 times since september 2015. I think if you do use it you need to plan for more time when parking up because every predicament I get into I end up parking the car myself.

The panoramic roof doesn't open, it is just glass which brings more light into the cabin.

The 1.2 is okay for town driving but not for long distances for example over taking in 3rd lane. I have the 1.6turbo and that is just about perfect for this vehicle.

I've been out for a couple of test drives today in the new Qashqai.

I tried the 1.2 petrol Tekna and the 1.5 diesel N-Connecta, both manual versions. The 1.2 seemed slightly more responsive than my current QQ. It didn't seem as hesitant when changing between 1st and 2nd gear and pulled away without much lag.

I know the shark fin aerial has been mentioned before, particularly with regards to DAB reception, so I found out today that the squiggly line on the rear window, under the heating element, is an additional antenna which works in conjunction with the roof aerial.
