Mine are fine - they were altered during the J11A's lifespan though I'm not fully clear as to how - I think it was the arms rather than the wipers themselves..

Brian, from what I have seen they are the same. I have not heard of the Arms being modified but there is a very long and interesting Post (use the Search Facility) where there are options or changes for the Wiper Blade Lengths (Bosch for example), we changed ours (LH Drive Model) and for us we have really no major problems - Dave :)

Not sure if it is a change in the wiper arm or the bonnet, but on J11B you can pull up and replace driver's blade without scratching the bonnet without the need of service mode.

I believe Nissan changed the design on the J11A at some point in the last year or so.

When I was having my Qashqai serviced late last year, I checked some of the J11As in the showroom and found you could lift the driver's wiper arm away from the windscreen without it touching the bonnet.

My July 2015 QQ lets you move the wipers without damage, although the "service mode" still works too. Maybe the problem was only on 2014 models?

As others have pointed out and as I alluded to earlier there was a reconfiguration of the wiper arms to move the pivot point towards the blade so as to obviate the clash. My June 2015 J11A is post-change

There was a Tekna+ (in bright blue of course!) parked on display outside Tesco last night. Not much more to report apart from:

a] the new 19" wheels bow out slightly making them more vulnerable to kerbing!

b] does the rear bumper poke out further? The length is now given as 4394mm - my J11A is 4377mm - so it's grown somewhere.
