Unknown "Sensor" on the front exterior [photos]

Dear Friends,

Do you know what is the "sensor" in red circle in the 1st photo.
as you can see the "sensor" is missing in the 2nd photo.

I have studied the user manual and it nothing is mentioned for this "sensor".

just a guess i think the one in the first picture is for the self parking and the second picture could be a qasqai with out the parking option

This should be the "Self Parking" Sensor which is not Std on all models. Just take a look in some brochures, websites, YouTube etc for more information - Dave

As commented, it's an additional sensor used by the auto parking system so only fitted on cars with the system. I'd guess it's main use is for " scanning " just in front and alongside the car to find suitable sized spaces for parallel parking.
