1.6 or 1.5
Contrary to the above, I would avoid the CVT transmission unless you lease and change every three years with no residual value worries. Do your own research on the Jatco CVT if you don't believe me.
I had a 1.6 cvt n-tec+ & loved it, now have a 1.5 manual tekna & love it.
I don't see that much difference in day to day driving so would say 1.5 for better mpg.

Lots of people say don't buy CVT because of problems in the past the same as I was told you can't put a1.2 engine in a qashqai.... Go and have a test drive and think about costs and resale I remember driving a DAF car with CVT in 1967some time like that in for a respray....
