I tried the Sport Steering mode for the first time on my Tekna today, wow was really surprised. I drive on a quite fast bendy twisty 'A' road to work and was very impressed with it.

Does anyone else on here use it much?

I keep mine on the sport steering mode all the time. I find it makes the steering more positive and much better than normal mode.

Cheers

With this sort of setting, I think it ought to be a physical button on the steering wheel or at the very least a button on the dashboard somewhere?

Having to go into the settings menu and scroll through the options to toggle it on and off isn't the cleverest idea.

Actually, I think the new QQ has such a push button???

My steering (Normal) seems stiffer at low speed since the car was serviced, although there doesn't seem to be any reason it should, so I'm assuming it's just me.

I did try the Sport steering mode a couple of times but found it too heavy, so I figured I'd worn out my Boy Racer urges and left it alone. ;)

The steering will be a bit heavier (tighter), but on fast winding roads it seems to give you better control and handling. For general use and on motorways it's going to be the Normal setting.

I'm sure it just makes it a bit heavier - doesn't do anything for "preciseness".

I agree with Gloucester, it just makes it slightly heavier and tighter, less spongey than on normal setting. It feels speed sensitive as well, being marginally tighter at higher speeds. Just checked mine and I've actually been using the sport setting for the last 3 years since getting the car and I'd forgotten. Tried the normal setting and found it too soft for my liking.

I like it anyway and will be swapping between the two modes as the need arises.

I've looked at the new 2017 QQ and it does have a panel switch now to activate the Sport Steering mode rather than having to go into Settings.
