I have owned my Qashqai for nearly 3 years and have about 55000kms on the clock. The car has been back to the dealership for:
Software update to cure lumpy cruise.
Replacement battery.
Replacement roof blind.
Replacement air temperature and turbo boost sensor.

All of the above were fixed under warranty. In total the car had 13 visits to the dealership for various investigations and fixes as well as servicing. The majority of the visits (7) were due to poor diagnosis of the last fault.
During my ownership I have been delighted by the Qashqai' s smart features and the overall package. However, I have discovered this 'smartness' of design is not backed up by my dealership or the availability of Nissan spare parts.
The big question is would I buy another Nissan? The answer to that one is probably no. Not because the Qashqai is a bad car - it is certainly not - but because I expect a faultless new car and a top class garage performance. Nissan clearly has some work to do in order to ensure customer satisfaction.
