Hoping someone can help me out here.
I have a 2014 J11 Nissan Qashqai. I have a really random problem. At random intervals, the horn sometimes does not work. I push the steering wheel horn pad and nothing happens, then I use the key to lock the car and the horn also does not sound (which, it normally does based on my setting). I turn the car on and off a few times, or wait a few hours, then the horn magically starts working again.
A week or two go by, and the horn is stopped working again, randomly.
Does anyone have any suggestions on what I can try to fix this myself? It is still in warranty (yay) - so I can take it in, but if its a simple fix I can try myself, it will be easier than going in to the mechanic.
Could it be something wrong with the fuse? I don't think the steering wheel horn pad is the problem, given when the horn stops working it also doesn't work with the key locking...?

I'd suggest unplugging the horn and cleaning the terminals as the first thing to try. It's located in an area that could see moisture getting in.
