What about the consumer rights act 2015 if you’ve not had it 6 months. I’ve just used it to have my daughters Peugeot 308 front suspension repaired foc after Evans halshaw declined a warranty claim (warranty purchased from them) .

Hi Guys ..
I agree its very poor customer service on behalf of Nissan UK .. I cant but wonder if its not time to push all the complaints upstairs to Nissan Japan. I have had dealings re another issue and Japanese manufacturers are very protective of their good name / reputation. I would not be surprised to find that the Japanese head office are unaware of the UK goings on. Good luck

I guess this just shows that warranties are worthless!
Your right to feel the way you do and would certainly take this further.
Unfortunately the clutch and flywheel Replacement aren’t cheap to replace in any vehicle nowadays...my Audi A5 Quattro cost me £2000...it was a 3 litre however so I refer to Gloucester comment that £1800 seems expensive....

Living out here in Berlin we found a Family Dealership and have had 4 Nissan’s from them. We have had defects on All but nothing Major or Mechanical as of today. All the Defects were corrected through the Dealer and Nissan under Guarantee with no apparent problems. To me a Good Dealer & Contact is worthwhile.
Now Nissan and I have had a lot of contact with NCS here, is in my opinion a waste of time as basically it is a “Call Centre” and to speak to a Technical or Management person is normally a NO NO. What I do when problems arise is log all them, photo them where possible and send an email to NCS, then normally a Nissan Customer No. comes back as a reference for the Dealer Action and it is in black and white if needed later.
Is there no Legal support available from the Motoring Associations AA / RAC for example on major technical issues ? - Dave

There was Dave...dunno about now. However, my experience with a Mazda gearbox at 21k miles from new via Mazda Japan and the SMMT simply poured me into a drain. That was the 1990's and I was also advised by a specialist within a civil service motor club....headbanging there as well.DaveBerlin wrote: ↑Sun Nov 10, 2019 7:57 am Living out here in Berlin we found a Family Dealership and have had 4 Nissan’s from them.
