Hi, I also want to change steering wheel for the J11b. I was going to buy a wheel and airbag module off fleabay until I saw this, think I'll wait to see.

Also looking into front and rear bumper change as well as headlights and tails.

It physically fits, but the wiring is different, so if anyone finds a wiring diagram for a j11b steering wheel, please post a link.

J11b owners, what do the left & right arrow buttons, either side of the left hand ok button, do when you are listening to the radio ?

Cheers Dave. Ok they seem to work ok. Just the volume up & horn that are the problem buttons.

Volume up doesn't work & horn constantly on 🐒

AFAIK the only repair docs/diags we have are as below. This is the earlier steering wheel to what you now have. Model J11

The horn circuit appears to be uncomplicated by any electronic management...straight electrical connect via switch and relay. So you may have a problem that is simple electrics? I suspect the Settings button wiring enters the BCM somehow...maybe CAN bus?

Yes, I don't think it will be a hugely complicated problem to solve. It's just finding the time at the moment.

@Noddy1875 Did you get the steering wheel functions working? I think it might be easy to remap the horn and volume buttons.

I've changed an airbag on a j11b for the horn going off constantly and it turned out the plastic bit at the bottom of the airbag was broken off, so the top right and left were pulling it inwards at the top making contact with the bracket behind it which is how the horn is activated when you push the airbag in,, worth a check because as you said the airbag system is fairly simple.. stupid really that they make the bottom clip out of plastic. You have to be careful when you remove it see the hole at the bottom of the steering wheel to release the plastic clip if you put a flat headed screw driver in there and push too hard it snaps you have to like push it gently until the bottom releases.

One way to tell if this is the issue is by just pushing the the bottom of the airbag in slightly to see if the horn stops,, that's how I found it on the one i was working on

Not had chance to have a proper look yet, working a lot of nights and weekends at the minute, work is mental since Christmas.

Interesting information about the airbag Lewis, I'll have a look at mine.......when I get chance.
