Thanks dragstar

Do u find it a quite car to drive. That is what my wife is worried about. Doesn't want to hear that diesel noise in the cabin when driving. I know most modern diesels when on a motorway arc u don't really hear the engine. But when they are ticking over they can be quite noisy. Is it the same in the 1.5

Lee,

It's a diesel and at startup it sounds like one if you stand outside it until it warms up. Inside you hardly notice it at startup and when warm you can't tell it's a diesel at all. I previously had a 1.5DCi Clio with a similar engine and again you couldn't really tell it from a petrol engine car except for the huge amount of torque when you put your foot down.

I wasn't too sure how my wife would like the car as she has a petrol mini cooper but she absolutely loves it.

Thanks for all the feedback

With the 1.5 diesel, am I right in thinking it is belt driven? How often would that need changing. Cars I am looking at are 14/15 plates. Wouldn't want to have to fork out for a cambelt change a year after buying it. Or do they just replace them on mileage?
Thanks

So after a 3 week wait, a new engine and turbo was fitted into the car. We took it for a spin last Sunday and the new engine went into melt down. Warning signs saying engine stop start system coming up. Chassis system control failure. The salesman said he was just going to cut his losses and send it to auction.
He found us another qashqai. A 16 plate 1.5dci n-connecta with glass roof in black. A little bit more expensive
Took it out for a spin today and fell in love with it. The diesel power plant was so smooth and my wife loved it.
They are putting new tyres on front and diamond bryting interior and exterior.
Get to pick it up on Mon 😀
