On mine, if you turn dial fully leftwards, I get "LOW", after 16 deg appears. :o
You could have faulty/ damaged condenser; search for "Condenser" for many
previous posts on subject, in this forum.

Dragster, never had this setting problem only when our Condenser went wrong did we have a heating / cooling problem. Our settings are always at 22*C on startup, then set to the desired Temp by Auto or Manual Dials. Have you read the manual or for example this - Dave :)

What do you mean "for the first time". Has the AC never been on in 4 years?

AC should be left on all the time, especially during the winter. Or at the very minimum ran at least once weekly. The AC gas contains a lubricant which keeps the seals in shape. Without the AC running, the seals quickly dry out and crack.

From my understanding its a minimum of once per month. I would be very interested if this has changed?

My previous QQ had an air con leak, the seals had dried out and shrunk. Was told when re-gassing it's a no-brainer to just leave it on all the time on modern cars.

Definitely will be the condenser gone on a 2014 model IMO. You don't have to have the dial all the way down to 'Lo' to feel cool air coming through.

You're unlucky if you've recently purchased a 2014 car (and accordingly have no warranty). As I understand it, most 2014 cars have had the condenser go and replaced by the Nissan warranty FOC. I certainly did.

Mine is a 2014 model, and I was greatly relieved when it got hot last week to feel a nice cold blast coming out of the AC having read about all the problems.
I did buy it in March 2017 though, so there's always a chance the previous owner had the condenser done.

My Nissan extended warranty runs out in march 2019, so will be keeping a close eye on it this summer.
