Den, there are supposedly fixed prices for Nissan Servicing naturally plus any extra Spare Parts not specified in the Service cost. if you look on the web you will find the facts or use the Forum Facility as there are old comments on this subject. Regarding Dealers there are the “Good” & “Bad” and you will find that most members when they find a Good one stay with them - hope this helps Dave :)

Despite the supposedly "fixed price" servicing Nissan advertised my garage tried to charge me more - even though their website is quoting £199 as Nissan's and then later £215 when you book it!

So when I booked my service I was told £215 at which I remonstrated (quite vocally) that their own website was saying £199 - and they gave it me for £199.

Amazingly as well as their "Manufacturer's Service" and their "Essential Service" they also offer a "Value Service" which is only for cars over 5 years old, but is the same price as the Manufacturer's service !??!!?!?!?!

Not sure if this is the right place to put this or not, but here goes anyway. Speaking to a Peugeot salesperson today at a car show in Coventry (UK), they mentioned having worked for Nissan a couple of years ago. When asked what I drive I was honest and said I drive a Kumquat. I also mentioned my issues with Nissan's lack of interest in dealing with the hands free issue, amoung other things. Imagine my surprise when they openly said to me that the dealers refer to the Qashqai as the "cash-cow"! Sort of sums up how Nissan's dealers look at their customers.
