Its a latest model QashQai and on locking we got a loud long continuous beep, I checked all doors, bonnet etc first time it did and re-shut and it went. Today I put fuel in and locked car and did the same so I thought fuel door, so I shut it 3-4 times again same issue, in end gave up, next time I lock the door though its fine no long beep.

When should you get the long beep, is it if it thinks any of the doors etc are open or just the bonnet ? The manual tells me nothing.

Thanks
June 2018 1.2t n-connecta, glass roof pack.

Did you press the start/stop button before you got out? Or have you left another set of keys inside?

sounds like the beep the car makes when u select to disable the internal ultrasonic sensors for the alarm - like you would do if your leaving a dog in the car. You have to do this every time you stop the car

That was my thought - sensors set to turn off by default.

Backwards step this new functionality for the senors IMO. I just liked the old press of the button to disable the senors - now there's a faff with the dash required or the question to annoy you at each engine turn off.

Why do they change stuff???

haha. Just noticed bonnet slightly open. Wondered what that rattling noise was, on the way back from the dealer.
Thank you so much for posting.
