No more Xtronic?

I got a email today from a dealer saying Nissan will no longer be manufacturering automatic transmission for their new stock. This is after I enquired about leasing a 1.2 Xtronic model.

I was trying to get some costs to lease and he came out with this bombshell.

Has anyone heard something similar? Can't seem to find anything on the Internet about it.

Realistik, there has been talk of eliminating this engine because the 1,2L DIG is one of the dirtiest engines around and that a 1,3L will take its place and it may well be the newly developed engine which has been announced from Renault - Nissan / Mercedes and is planned to be built amongst others in Sunderland - Dave :)

The QQ CVT is manufactured by Jatco in Japan and is almost a wholly owned Nissan Co. There has been problems with this Gearbox especially in the US where the Guarantee was extended to I believe 10 years.
Renault have another Auto Gearbox called an EDC (Efficient Dual Clutch) Automatic which might be an option. Could well be jumping the Gun with these assumptions though.
