Hi
Unfortunately recently I noticed a large crack on the inside panel of my panoramic sunroof (Tekna 2014 range). I have to confess I have no idea how this came to being and not sure how long it's been there as I usually have the panoramic roof covered.
I don't see any chips or cracks on the outside so this is strange. Don't know if it's temperature related.
My insurance does not cover this. Has anyone experienced similar. Any suggestions for options to fix?
Many thanks
Crack on inside of panoramic sunroof
I had to have mine replaced. Was quoted around £800 by a windscreen replacement place. I ended up going through the insurance and paying my excess, think it goes through as accidental damage. If you’ve got protected no claims, it might be worth going that way.

Thanks. Good to know the price range. May I know which company quoted you? I will check on insurance too.
Regarding pics I've attached some. Hope it's visible but it's basically cracked right the way through

Ouch!
I suppose it is possible that its taken a hefty knock by a blunt object externally an the internal laminate has fractured. Much the same as a phone screen protector. Some can resist scratches but you can still damage the screen beneath without marking the outer protection.

Some insurers consider moonroof ( as Yanks call it) covered by Windscreen element of policy, others
