Steve, I am a Forum member and read the facts The Oil was reference the problems of the 1,2L motor (Oil used, Piston Rings etc..) which we have never had to use. The Fire Extinquisher is the 2nd one, there is also one under the Passenger Seat due to the tests and comments with regard to the R1234yf Air Con Fluid - Dave

So where's the portable air-conditioner in case the condenser goes again?

Hi Gel, firstly the reason I have 2x Extinquishers is that the recommendation I have read were for a 2Kg one which is pretty damn bulky, so I decided for the 2x 1Kg ones positioned in the Front & Rear of our QQ.
There is a recommendation from Nissan for an Extinquisher KS520-00001 and Bracket KS520-BRJ11 but when I wanted one our Dealer could not locate one. The other problem was that it is mounted in front of the Passenger Seat and I did not like this due to Legroom restrictions. There are a lot of these types around.
What I did was lay the Extinquisher under the Passenger Seat it is retained within a Well Form so it can roll around slightly. I then decided to wrap around the Extinquisher 2 Velcro Straps (cost peanuts) and leave part of the Velcro Free so that it attaches to the Floor Carpet. You then just need to pull the Velcro Straps Free to Access the Extinquisher. In the event of a Frontal the Extinquisher has to fly with force from under the Seat past the Seat Adjustment Bar which is not easy - I hope this explanation is sufficientand meets your needs, if not please ask - Dave
Nissan Extinquisher + Bracket : 1Kg Extinquisher : Velcro Straps around Extinquisher with a partial overlap for retaining to the carpet : Showing position under the Seat laying in the Well with Velcro attached to Carpet : Showing position behind Seat Adjuster :

Very neat; certainly Fire Officers will always recommend you keep the FX in the cabin not the boot for ease of access.
However, as you say space for a 2kg one is very limited in most cars.
I've just one in boot, but have a lot of samples in garage from when I was in the Fire Industry.
One in the cab would be handy if there's a manic road rager banging at passenger window; just apply a quick spray and make your exit!
