I think the type of roof bars you have would make a difference to what size roof box you can fit also things like do you want space on the bars to fit any other things beside the box.
Do you need to carry other items on the roof, such as bikes? If you do, you need to choose a box that leaves space on your roof bars,
Any box can be fitted to any car, within reason

Take a look at this site it might help you and you may also find a box at the right price here.

I'd be more concerned about the maximum weight loading on the roof and bars. The manual should tell you this somewhere.

2014 UK manual:

The roof rail is designed to carry loads
(luggage plus crossbars) below 75 kg (165 lb).
Overloading may cause damage to the vehicle.

2017 USA Qashqai manual:

Always distribute the luggage evenly on the
cross bars. Do not load more than 150 lb (68
kg) on the cross bars. Observe the maximum
load limit shown on the cross bars or roof
carriers when you attach them on the roof cross
bars. It is recommended that you visit a NISSAN
dealer for additional information.
Do not apply any load directly to the roof side
rails. Cross bars must be installed before
applying load/cargo/luggage to the roof of the
vehicle.
Be careful that your vehicle does not exceed the
Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) or its
Gross Axle Weight Rating (GAWR front and
rear). The GVWR and GAWR are located on the
F.M.V.S.S. or C.V.M.S.S. certification label (located
on the driver’s door pillar). For additional
information regarding GVWR and GAWR, refer
to “Vehicle loading information”

So 75kg inclusive or 68kg exclusive of cross bars.

p.s. not sure where I got the latter but it's a USA manual for the Qashqai printed in the USA!
