Help Needed

Hi all got some puddle lights all seem pretty straight forward to fit until you reach the wiring part of things, I understand most of it but there is a part where it tells me to possi tap my orange wire from the module that came with lights to red wire on Vehicle Post.
It also tells me to do the same with the Black wire from my module to Black on Vehicle post.
Any ideas where these 2 wires are red and black on vehicle post ?
I was thinking it was the light switch on the doors but I thought that only has one wire. ????
So what does it mean by Vehicle post ?
And where to find the Red and Black wire it refers to
The red and black at the to comming out of the convoluted tube are my wires from the lights
The shape with label on is the module that came with lights
Can any one help me out here please

Ah I think I have solved it now, this will be the other Black + Red wire that feeds the other side.
Why do they not label instructions easy.
So now when I look it is obvious
There is a Black + Red wire coming from the convoluted tube and then a Black + Red coming from the A post but in reality these are the supply wires coming from
Lights on left side
Lights on right side
Obviously they both need to connect to the same wires on the module and also have to connect to each other.
Will finish them off tomorrow now

Hi Terry.
I'm at the same point as you.
Got lights, but connecting upto the cars harness I'm baffled at.
The instructions colour codes dont match the given colour codes.
Did you sort yours?
Could you take a picture?

Sorry for the late reply, yes I got mine wired up, After going away from the job and not over thinking it then it just came to me where I was going wrong.
It was the wiring diagram confusing me.

I used the accessories plug
So the wiring harness that comes with the lights the first purple wire joins to the purple wire on the accessories plug
The black wire you connect both black wires from each light one from left one from right
The green goes to the beige/cream wire on the accessories plug
The white goes to the brown on accessories plug
The OR orange goes to both reds on each light one from left one from right

Sorry for the late reply, yes I got mine wired up, After going away from the job and not over thinking it then it just came to me where I was going wrong.

I used the accessories plug

Footwell lights can then be wired direct to the Orange - red/Black to Black
Or in my case I connected to the 2 wires that run from wire connection to the left lights as they are running at bottom back of dash so was easy to jump on to them.
All lights then light up with key press for open doors and when doors are opened

Hi Terry.
It does yes.
I found a plug next to the OBD2 port.. and took a pic of the wires but... in the end I fitted the footwell lights and tapped the positap feeds (red and black to the puddle lights) onto the positive and negative feeds to the footwell leds. (If that makes sense) and all works as it should.

Just looked and the plug I have found has similar colours...
I could go back and see but think I'll leave as works ok and slight variations in colour shades.

Hi, I am interested in fitting the welcome/puddle lights. What I would like to know is what is the connector called, ie type so I can get the male half to make a neat connection.
