Wheel Fittings

Hi All

New to forum and my first post.

I have a 6 month old Teckna 1.2 auto with glass roof and very pleased with it at the moment. This comes with 19'' Alloys.
I'm now seriously considering buying some Winter Wheels/Tyres and have been quoted a decent price online.
The quote is for 16'' Steel Wheels with 'Continental Tyres'.
My question is....can I use existing fitting bolts or do I need special bolts due to being steel wheels ??

Thanks

Hi, I have a 2014 Tekna 1,2L with the 19” Diamond Cut Wheels. Just yesterday had our Winter 16” Steelies with Dunlop Ultra Grips re-fitted, there are no problems using the same Bolts. The Chromed Plastic Bolt Caps I keep in a Plastic container as with the Winter “Plastic” Hub Caps fitted you cannot see them - Dave 😉

Thanks again Dave.

Undecided yet but possibly would go 'without hubcaps' and just put black plastic caps on bolts.

By coincidence, those tyres (Goodyear Ultra Grip) were my second choice after the 'Continental' but
am now edging towards them due to cost saving, plus reviews are excellent.

Gvmdaddy, I have just cleaned up my 19” Diamond Cut Alloys & Tyres which are now in the Store and these “Steelies” are back on. I do like clean vehicles and Wheels, I have been using for years either Lidl W5 or Sonax Tyre Cleaner which is just a Foam Spray On & Wipe OFF. I use these Foam Pads which are excellent (they get in around the wheel edge) which I used to buy yearly in Florida but they are now available here - Dave (alias Dogs Doodaas 🙄) 😉

Terry, I have been using these for about 8 years and never had a problem. I buy these Tire Swipes in the US under the name “Eagle One” but of course despite “America First :D “ they come from China - Dave 😉
