Been having a poke around with my new car today and noticed only the drivers side (uk) come on.
Is this correct or should both sides come on?
Thank you

Just been out checking all my QQ lights and noticed the nearside rear fog light was off. Found this post and can't believe that they have only fitted one on the drivers side. I always considered two to be best for safety or are the rear sidelights now brighter than they used to be in older vehicles?

All the red lights at the back are now LED and imo are quite a bit brighter than the older style bulbs. I agree though, I want 2 fogs at the back too.

I suppose you could call the installation of only one Fog Light a “Cost Saving” but if the Uk Law only has one as a requirement I suppose it is cut & dried - Have One Working ! - Dave 😁

Last night I had a thought not often 😩 but it does normally state that a Fog Light is Installed on the “Drivers Side”. For example this a German comment. I suppose for production it does make sense that 2 Fog Lights are Installed (no specials), but only one actually works as this then caters for LHD & RHD Vehicles, but all the hidden wiring, fitting are installed depending on the Country Spec - does this make sense ? Dave 🙏

“In fact, vehicles registered in Germany are required to have at least one rear fog light. It is generally found on the driver's side rear of the car, although some cars may have it in the middle (it's usually the bright red one). This light is particularly blinding when used improperly inside city limits.”
