Qashqai Model: Mk.3 Qashqai - J12 (2021+) New Model

Post by heymynameisjim »

Hi, I wondered if anyone can offer some clarification and any advice.

I currently own a 2013 1.5 360 dci, but due to the dreaded ULEZ in London I am being forced to change, which is costly and annoying as I am pleased with my current car.

However, I am considering buying either of the following, low mileage Quashqai as replacement ,

1.5 NTec + Dci on a 16 plate
or
N Connecta Dci on a 17 plate

Can anyone explain the differences and any personal experience to help me make my decision.

I do tow a small box trailer, my current Quashqai is adequate but wouldn't want any worse in a new car.

I use the car a lot in central London so MPG is relatively important.

Many thanks

So you essentially want to know the difference between an N-Tec+ and an N-Connecta?

Not a lot...

Check out:

I nearly bought a pre-reg N-tec+ which were being remaindered after the launch of the N-Connecta but bought a slightly used Tekna instead.

I seem to recall discussing this with my dealer shortly after buying mine, he told me the difference was the inclusion of the panoramic roof as standard in the N tec+. On the n-connecta it was an extra cost option, so basically a price rise concealed in a name change 8-)

On the Tekna they managed to make the panoramic roof optional without changing the name! :) I think when mine was bought new it was still standard, but optional by the time I bought it eight months later.

That'd be an interesting option for the dealer to remove from a used vehicle if you didn't cough up the extra dosh :)
