Rear door won't open from inside or outside

Hello
Both our rear doors are always locked with a child lock since we have a kid travelling at the back. We never had an issue until today, when we couldn't open one door from the outside. We went out of the car, closed the doors, locked the car and went to run some errands. When we got back, the back left door was not opening at all.
We are desperate to unlock it today itself (sunday).
What could it be and how to fix it?
It's a 2016 automatic diesel Qashqai
