Hi,
I've had my 2016 Qashqai N-Connecta for a few weeks now, and like it all apart from their Android 'apps'
(I'm envious of those that have Android Auto on their new Nissans)
Q1, Has anyone got Door to Door working? , and use/like it ?
I've tried everything and it simply fails to 'send to car'. Am I missing something good, or as I suspect it is not worth the bother?
Q2. I have the NissanConnect app working, but again is it worth the bother for the limited apps that are available in the car?. Again, is anyone happily using it ?

The topic originator has a 2016 car - this won't work with one of those.granauk wrote: ↑Sun Jun 02, 2019 1:10 pm This might be worth a look see, works well ish

It's what you have to use with a 2018 on if wanting to connect via Android.

Wrong - Android Auto is also a stand-alone app - it'll show on the phone screen, not on the connect - audio will play if on BTgloucester wrote: ↑Sun Jun 02, 2019 3:45 pmThe topic originator has a 2016 car - this won't work with one of those.granauk wrote: ↑Sun Jun 02, 2019 1:10 pm This might be worth a look see, works well ish

But even as a standalone app you could also have music playing through it at the same time (on the phone)

Yes but granauk noted "only niggle i dont like you have to have it on AUX on the connect so no radio" implying it could be cast onto the central screen - is can't on earlier cars.rod9669 wrote: ↑Sun Jun 02, 2019 5:03 pmWrong - Android Auto is also a stand-alone app - it'll show on the phone screen, not on the connect - audio will play if on BTgloucester wrote: ↑Sun Jun 02, 2019 3:45 pmThe topic originator has a 2016 car - this won't work with one of those.granauk wrote: ↑Sun Jun 02, 2019 1:10 pm This might be worth a look see, works well ish

Of course yes, you can run it on the phone screen only, but then you'd have full access to the radio. And from my experience you might just as well use the phone as you would normally not using Android Auto.

True - the one advantage is that with android auto running on the phone, you can use voice commands for calling, setting destinations etcgloucester wrote: ↑Sun Jun 02, 2019 6:54 pmYes but granauk noted "only niggle i dont like you have to have it on AUX on the connect so no radio" implying it could be cast onto the central screen - is can't on earlier cars.rod9669 wrote: ↑Sun Jun 02, 2019 5:03 pmWrong - Android Auto is also a stand-alone app - it'll show on the phone screen, not on the connect - audio will play if on BTgloucester wrote: ↑Sun Jun 02, 2019 3:45 pm

Hi
Hope i havent changed the original topic of this thread
But the best i have working is andriod auto on my phone switched on allowing me to say call ???
with the connect system on radio ,and it does over rides radio when call finishes it goes back to radio
also when i say navigate to ??? it does but you have to have it on AUX on the connect to hear the
directions so no radio on ( i know you can stream the radio through android auto) but thats not
what im after
best scenario would be radio on and google maps overrides radio when direction spoken then back to
radio
wonder is there a setting on phone for Bluetooth priorities so this could work
