Hi everyone, I picked up my Qashqai last Thursday, a 19 plate, n-connecta, 1.5dCi ( 115hp / 85kw AdBlue engine ) and up to press I'm very pleased with the car, the Stop / Start took a bit of getting used to and the old style Connect stereo with the SD slot could be better, but the 69mpg more than makes up for that, plus the car was Pre-Registered with 8 miles on the clock so I saved about £8500 over buying new.

So, onto the question...the V5 arrived today and after a quick look through the car is stated as the following.

Type : J11
Variant : A
Version : A74
Euro status : EURO 6AG

According to two different HPI checks the year of Manufacture is 2019, so shouldn't the car be a Variant ; B with the EURO 6DTEMP engine?

Going off the stereo, I'm guessing the car is old stock and discounted just enough so Nissan can move it on.

Thanks

Weasel...

Hi Weasel, afaik the 'new engines' are just the 1.3 litre petrol ones. My log book has J11, Variant F, Version F72, EURO-6AG (EURO-6c/6d-temp).

It a J11B.

Hope this helps, but it sounds like you got an excellent deal there.

Just because the car was made in 2019 its the engine date which is importanr there was lots of diesels that had to be made last year because of EMISSION changes lots of dealers had stock that had a few miles on the clock. The cars had to be registerd before a certain date ....we had a problem a lot of years ago when FORD had 2000 escorts that had no cats on had to be sold as used cars good deals all round....david

Please note that the "J11B" nomenclature dates from the facelift in 2017 and has nothing to do with the engine changes in late 2018.

Weasel, you seem to have got a good bargain with your new QQ so just enjoy it 😉
The problem you have guaranteed has occurred with many owners, bargain prices, old Specs etc and why not if you are happy with the deal. Moving on from the J10 was the J11A which had the 1,3 / 1,6L Petrol + the Diesels with a CVT Gearbox. Now it has moved on to the J11B as Gloucester mentioned which had the old engines and now with the 1,3L Petrol, new Diesels and a DCT Gearbox and Electronic Updates. There have been so many updates with the J11B that it is difficult to follow and now the waiting is for the New Tekna + (ProPILOT). You have most probably read all the Blurp here which does tend to inform really well - Enjoy your new QQ Dave ✅

I must have been very lucky then, in March I got the very latest as per profile for a £8623 discount via a broker

Correction for newcomers - the J11A had a 1.2 or 1.6 petrol engine not as stated above.

There's also an all new Qashqai coming out in 2020...
