Just booked my car in for its second service at Lookers Carlisle.
It’s a major one apparently, only done 8300 miles from new, yet they change the brake fluid, pollen filter, fuel filter, etc etc?
The cost quoted is £329.00 and for another £24.99 they’ll put something in to degunge the injectors.
Can’t be bothered shopping around for a cheaper quote, not too many Nissan dealers locally so I’ve booked it in.
I did mention I expected the sat nav SD card to be updated and they agreed, wish I could get easy access to the oil filter as I’d like to mark it to check it’s been done afterwards, I don’t trust anyone these days.

Hi, trout your oil filter will have a date stamped on the top if you use your flash on your mobile you should easily be able to take a photo for future reference 👍

That right Glenn, I didn’t think it was visible from inside the bonnet?
It’s hidden underneath by a cover.

Had the service today, as quoted £329, found them quite efficient and got an email with a video report from the mechanic telling me about tread depth and brake wear.
On the itemised invoice was an item, Strainer assembly. £47.63?
Anyone know what that is?

Trout, here you go Strainer Assembly Fuel Filter. Normally you should get a break down of the Service with what’s done by a Nissan Service Guy when you pay - Dave 😁

The pollen filter is changed every year. My garage refused not to do it - would have saved me £40. It had only been in for 5,000 miles...

Yep, sounds like it's the fuel filter to me too. And I'm not sure about 20 years ago but that's probably expected for parts like this unfortunately :( or perhaps where you get one installed
