Hello good people

As posted in the "Introduction" section here, I am very pleased with my Qashqai J11 1.2 DIG-T (2017/2018)

However...if I had to wish for one thing, it would be just a liiiitle bit more power on lower revs below 1500. I do *not* want to remap it as that will definately void warranty (and I rather fancy having warranty...).
I have seen these "throttle tuning" thingies thought that the retailer claims do not void warranty.

So...has anyone ever tried it? Can it really be true that warranty is kept intact? Here's one example:

Cheers for any input!

/Ricky

What I see of that is a modification to build and performance...not what the manufacturer approved I suspect.

Give them a chance and they'll cut you off?

Well, it says it changes the throttle response and not performance. Installation is in between two different existing connectors on a cable somewhere.

It still sounds a bit dubious though, that's why I'm wondering.

Ricky, do you really need to go this way with Tuning as it could be a little negative for Nissan. You have to get used to this engine and give it some Revs I use between 2000 & 2500 Revs and find this totally adequate to pull away smartly - Dave 👍

Are you driving the car in ECO mode? Certainly on my car there is a vast difference and quite often I end up giving too much wellie when pulling away in ECO mode. The car is more responsive in standard.
Past cars Mercedes B Class, S Class, E Class Estate, E Class Coupe, G Wagen, 260E interspersed with Peugeot 406 and Audi Coupe.

@Qashowner: Hmm, I dont think my model has changable drive mode. I've checked all around the dashboard as well as in the menues. It's a 2018 Facelift Tekna (not +).

@DaveBerlin: many thanks for the input. I get your point :) Maybe I just need to adjust to it. How much rev do ýou give the engine when changing from 1st to 2nd and from 2nd to 3rd? Or do you just give it some extra rev when starting of in 1st?

Ricky, basically it is just to get the QQ moving from a Standstill the other gear changes just follow on, it is just a learning curve as it all falls into place very quickly - Have Fun Dave :D

If you use the digital foot approach you'll find out exactly what the engine does through the gears. Digital foot being full on and full off (1, 0).
