Engine stop

My qashqai 2016 after turning the Ac on the engine stop, the car is working fine with out Ac on!!

I have a 2014 J11 and found this morning that if I turn the air con off, the stop start system works again. Not been working during the warmer weather and I was going to get it sorted at the next service, but I guess with the fan and air con on, stop/start doesn't seem to work.

Am I understanding you correctly? If you've got the engine running and press the AC button to turn it on the engine stops? Never heard that one before...

Is the engine stalling? By that I mean is the a/c compressor clutch engaging and jamming the engine. A bit weird I'd say because I think the aircon belt would screech somewhat. You need to lift the bonnet and observe the compressor operation. Should see the clutch operate and see if the compressor can freely turn.

Never heard of this happening though, so just guessing to some extent.

I obviously misread the op, but sounds as though with the air con on, there is too much load on the engine and its stalling. As calnorth says, sounds like the air con clutch maybe inoperative and is stopping the engine, at higher speeds and revs, seems to be ok.
