About a month ago my Connect Sat Nav completely lost my QQs location and was showing the QQ being about 1.5 hours away from where it actually was.
Last week the Sat Nav started showing the QQ as closer to its actual location and after a factory reset the Sat Nav was showing the car in the right location this morning. (It’s now slightly off and showing as being on a road just round the corner)
The problem now is that the Sat Nav has got confused about where North is and swapped it with South. So although this morning the Sat Nav started from the correct location, it showed the QQ driving through houses and fields, rather that following its actual route. Although the pointer arrow correctly follows all turns, etc on screen.
Has anyone else had a similar issue and were you able to fix it or is the only option to take it to the dealership?
My QQ is a 15 plate Tekna.
Thanks in advance

Welcome to this forum.
I've seen a solitary report of the pointer not being in the right place but the north/south swap is totally new.
Let's hope someone responds who has experienced such issues.

I don't recall a setting that would do that - there is a setting for North Up but in thhis case the arrows going the wrong way on the map.
aeg104 you could try swapping between the three modes and see if either one or more is correct, or whether that possible correct the error(speaking rather optimistically for a Qashqai here...)

Thank you for your replies.
Gave the 2D/3D map change a try this afternoon but unfortunately didn’t help.
Will see how it goes for a few more days and try another factory reset.
The dealers have said it could be anything from a software update to a new unit. Although when I spoke to them I hadn’t realised North and South had swapped, just that the Sat Nav was off.
Will keep you posted.

The cost of a new unit would easily swamp a top-of-the-range sat nav system or even an iPhone!

I had this problem on my 17 plate qashqai, showing I was going left to right so I tried tapping the little compas icon on the display and this changed the direction to show I was travelling up on the map, tapped it again and itreverted to right to left, tapping again put me back the correct way, hope this helps
