Hi guys,
It seems the top of my Ariel has disappeared (antenna)
Phoned Nissan today and got a price of £50............whit I says!
Anyway, I know there are various ones on eBay but not sure which one to go for!
Car is 2017 tekna pre-facelift model!

Any help would be most welcome.

You can get the shark fin one from Ali express, a few on here have fitted them I believe.

Bros, just a question to confirm is yours the older Screw In type of Shark Fin. The reason I ask is because the newer is DAB Compatible and £50 sounds cheap. We installed a SF years ago which is basically a Shell (as eBay) and looks good but can cause problems with reception. If you go into “Search” Check out “Shark Fin” old posts - Dave

Bros, before I installed our Shark Fin I had a few spare aerials laying around from previous Nissan’s (Nissan / eBay / whatever's) Black / Chrome / Long / Short and they All worked - Dave

I thought the shark fin (SF) was for satellite reception mainly. It should cover over a approx 1 inch square SHF pre amplifier block. VHF/HF (DAB/FM etc) radio signals have embedded aerials in the rear screen. Even closer to the bloody ground!

The earlier rod stick antenna is for VHF DAB/FM and has proportionality to VHF wavelength

VHF = Radio mainly
UHF = DTV
SHF = Satellite Nav relating to the US DoD system we use...NAVSTAR

Colin, the SF I Installed came from Canada (they had no DAB) but I liked the looks and for me it worked when I used DAB which was rarely. Inside was virtually nothing :

I think what Bros is talking about is the screwed in type (5 / 6 mm) which are everywhere black, plastic, steel, chrome etc and very cheap - Dave
