Is price negotiable on new Qashqai?

Ready to trade our 3 year old in on new. Wondering how much bargaining is possible, either in overall price or perhaps options discounted? We're switching to petrol from diesel. Is this a good time of year for a deal? Thank you, Don

Hi drweiler. Just traded in via car wow and obtained £5000 discount on Qashqai Tekna + petrol automatic. Think I was lucky as it was end of sales target quarter.

Just had a look at the broker I used earlier this year with no problem whatsoever and they currently have the Tekna + petrol auto for 26% off, saving £8438.

Just keep asking the dealers one of them will need your business enough to give you a good deal

Bit of a game:
Have a fixed budget in your head and stay with it. Hope they surprise you as with me.

And don't take their inclusive deals of a special loan and accessories. Loans are cheaper elsewhere.

They'll certainly play with your trade in car price so have a drop dead price on that. Higher the better.

Always be ready to walk. They have cars to sell...the sooner the better.

:) Buying & Selling Autos in 2019:

In ancient times having no trade in and cash in hand meant a good deal could be negotiated.
Not in current times as they all try to flog you a finance package in one form or another to £boost margins£.

I sold my Qashqai via this website; dealers will send in offers for it via e mail, so you're
in control.
List for free here:
https://www.wizzle.co.uk/start-valuation

You get a price band they suggest you offer at; you then have to take a load of snaps
to post to listing, including any less than perfect areas, and wait for the offers.

In the end, best offer was from these brokers who I'd highly recommend;
https://carterandhaines.co.uk/sell-your-car

Checking interweb I was warned off Evans Halshaw's car buying operation, as though
they may seem to offer a very good price, few achieve it, as they always find some reason
to knock offer back.

Their agent turned up on drive, carefully inspected car and took more photos to upload back to
Carter & Haines, and checked all paperwork; car must have at least 1 month's MOT left by the way.

As soon as Carter & Haines accepted car's condition, immediate payment made
to my Bank. Key's handed over.
Few minutes later, e mail from DVLA, that ownership had changed.

All very swift, and original offer made for car was realised.

I had ordered my new Mazda via a broker* as I had for my QQ, and that went very smoothly too
and I saved around £5k!!
It was supplied from a localish dealership to my drive, and even had Mazda door mats supplied.

Drweiler, just a Tip remember that there are still loads of the QQ J11B stuck on Nissan Dealer Forecourts and with the Import Boys. Check you are getting the Latest Spec with the Euro 6D Temp etc as there are still a lot with the older engine around our neighbour just bought a Discounted one and got caught - Bargain Import Price was the attraction Dave 😏

My dealer has a Black pre-reg diesel Tekna for £19,980 - Nissan's website suggests this should cost £29,320.

Also there's a Silver, White or Blue pre-reg petrol 1.3-140 Tekna+ for £22,495 instead of £29,425 (though apparently Silver is no longer available in that trim level and white and blue cost £170 extra).

Buyer beware - check specs!

I got a really good deal on my new tekna+ 1.3 auto, delivered three weeks ago. I got about £2K over market value for my part exchange and another £2K off the car price. In hindsight I think I could have got more but I'm not very good at bargaining, so go for it, it looks like there are amazing bargains to be had!
