Weasel, with such a young car could you not get the Dealer to correct the Paintwork. I mean you give out good money for a QQ and end up with Swirl Marks let’s hope the “Profis” get rid of the problem. Is the treatment expensive and are you going to give the “Bill” to the Dealer ? - Dave 😤

Lank, why should you feel a Prat, if you enjoy doing it and do not forget the outlay is the next one down to the house except for the missus 😂 Out here you generally do not see cars on the streets or in garageways being cleaned because it is an offence here to use Cleaning Materials that go down the street water system. Most owners like me go to our Dealer give it a Wash over and under and then spend a few hours sweating and polishing - Dave 😉

Hi Dave...I suppose I could have asked the Dealer to sort the paint, but then I wouldn't trust them to do it, not with there in-house prep team, plus with the £9000 saving over ordering a brand new one I had already budgeted for the machine polishing and ceramic coatings.

The total cost of the paint correction and ceramic coatings was £690 ( £445 for the machine polish and £245 for the ceramic coatings on all surfaces )

Here are a few snaps from this morning

To be honest the pictures just don't do the paintwork justice, as there is an incredible depth of shine that you just don't see in the taken images.

Weasel, Nice ! ✅ looks like a job well done and therefore worth the layout although the price does not seem that steep. Just keep it looking this good, I am sure it is better prepared than a Dealer - Dave 🧐

Thanks very much, Dave...I must admit I'm very pleased with the outcome and I've been given the full run down on how to look after the coatings so they last, and I know the guys will honor the coating's 5 year guarantee, so it's down to me to do as instructed with the aftercare.

Nice one, Ian... that should protect the paintwork, just make sure you use a gentle, PH Neutral shampoo when washing.

Looking good, Ian...very, very shiny and in my favourite colour too.

I was advised to use Gyeon's own as it's made to work without affecting the Gyeon coatings, but any pure, PH neutral shampoo will do.
