On the older model there is yes... but isnt on the brand new model.
Or not as yet... unless my software isnt the problem and just the camera is....?

I had this problem with my 2018 QQ which I bought 2 months ago (its happened 6 times now at least). On the 1st November after complaining about the radar it went in to the garage to be checked over, while there they did 2 recalls one of which was to deal with the front radar collision system, I had it back 1 week when the same thing happened "Warning System Fault" and "Radar Obscured" then again Saturday. I have just had it returned from Westway Nissan, their head of service rang to say there is nothing wrong with the system this is a common reaction in rainy conditions, the radar/camera (which he says are both linked to the collision system) can be effected by rain distorting the signal.
I'm told that there is nothing that can be done about the problem, however, I'm not going to just leave it there, this is a design flaw so I'm going to contact Nissan to find out if there is a solution being worked on.
Anyone else who has had this problem, that would probably be all of us, should also contact Nissan, they only listed to large numbers.

The software update does improve the experience imo but it can still trigger incorrectly. I've not had more than 2 system faults after which i just cleaned the badge on the grill to give it the best view of the road possible. Neither of these fault events occurred after the update, both were before.
I wonder if covering the badge would effectively disable it?

Mine hasnt ever jammed the brakes on... but when diagnosed they (Nissan) have said my camera is faulty.
On another note, when in Oslo 2 weeks ago I had a golf hire car and that had alot of front assistance faults... presumably with the rain and snow too.

Good luck with that. It is even written in the user manual.Smith wrote: ↑Wed Nov 27, 2019 3:06 pm .. however, I'm not going to just leave it there, this is a design flaw so I'm going to contact Nissan to find out if there is a solution being worked on.

Small update.
Took car in Tuesday.
The Nissan dealer representative was very polite.. apologised that it's taken 4 months to get the part but will sort it asap.
Called me shortly after to give bad news that..... the camera supplied is for the previous model. But good news is, they'll have the correct part next day.
They kept the car and next day around half 11 a call to say it's done.
Picked car up today (due to work) and was told everything should be fine but also its had the recall sorted on it.
I asked and he explained it was with the Early braking detection system. Its had a software update that focuses the attention more central than widespread.
So far all seems fine.
Car also washed and hovered.
A little disappointing having a 4 month wait but happy its sorted and my car back.

That was done to my N-Connecta at same service as yours last Jan. I see odd alerts (symbol)...objects to my left mostly when driving. All I can say is that its seems to be somewhat more lively after this update than before it.Geordieman wrote: ↑Thu Nov 21, 2019 9:14 pm I booked by QQ N Connecta in today for a 2 year service and was told there is an update or recall on the 'radar collision avoidance' outstanding which they will do when it goes in early next month.
No idea if the FEB works. Need to drive into polystyrene or similar. Wondering how it was tested at service?
Conditions to contend with:
• The forward emergency braking system does
not function in all driving, traffic, weather and
road conditions.
The radar sensor does not detect the following
objects:
– Pedestrians, animals or obstacles in the roadway
– Oncoming vehicles
– Crossing vehicles
• The radar sensor has some performance limitations.
If a stationary vehicle is in the vehicle’s
path, the forward emergency braking
system will not function when the vehicle is
driven at speeds over approximately 45 MPH
(70 km/h).
• The radar sensor may not detect a vehicle
ahead in the following conditions:
– Dirt, ice, snow or other material covering
the radar sensor.
– Interference by other radar sources.
– Snow or road spray from travelling
vehicles.
– If the vehicle ahead is narrow (e.g. motorcycle).
– When driving on a steep downhill slope or
roads with sharp curves.
– When towing a trailer.
• In some road or traffic conditions, the forward
emergency braking system may unexpectedly
apply partial braking. When acceleration is
necessary, continue to depress the accelerator
pedal to override the system.
• Braking distances increase on slippery surfaces.
• Excessive noise will interfere with the warning
chime sound, and the chime may not be
heard.
• The system is designed to automatically
check the sensor’s functionality, within certain
limitations. The system may not detect
some forms of obstruction of the sensor area
of the front bumper such as ice, snow, stickers,
for example. In these cases, the system
may not be able to warn the driver properly.
Be sure that you check, clean and clear the
sensor area of the front bumper regularly
