Hi everyone.

I appear to have lost the option to turn off the internal sensors in the vehicle settings.

It used to give me an option to turn them off or ask on exit, this has now gone. There is also no option for alarm in any settings in the steering wheel switch menus etc. If that makes sense?

Any ideas welcome.

I should think its :

Option in the settings
Or Reset the System in the Settings (Back to Factory Settings).....Setup Again
Off to the Dealer on Warranty (69 plate has 3 years)

Thanks just tried that when I could. Not made any difference so will have to go back to the dealership.

Was hoping for someone else with the problem and if it could be resolved other than by the dealer. I actually don’t know if I have a working alarm either as I need to leave the dogs in and see what happens. 😂

Its the best thing to do and get verification documentation off them when they've fixed it...just in case it bounces back.

Log in to settings
Go to Vehicle settings and select Alarm
Then selects Ask on Exit
When you turn off the ignition it will ask you if you want to turn off internal alarm

That’s the strange thing I don’t have the alarm system option anymore it stops after the driving position item. It used to be there but has disappeared factory reset hasn’t worked either.

Will be ringing the dealer I think as no one seems to have had the same problem on here.

Calnorth , Not heard of a verification document, what is it for? If they don’t fixit I’ll keep on with them until it does.

Sorry....some sort of paper work that states what they had done to fix it....we hope?

Gerry
I took delivery of my Qashqai Tekna in October and in December I had my passenger window smashed and some items stolen from inside and what disturbed me most was that no alarm sounded. I have subsequently found out that my Tekna doesn’t have any interior sensors fitted and I’m waiting on Nissan to confirm why as I’ve been told that during the build there was a “running change” made by Nissan for this model. In my manual it mentions the options for selecting interior sensors on or off but I also don’t have this function in the menu screens. Strange that you had it and now it’s not there.
I’m currently totally bewildered by this info and that a 2019 vehicle would be sold without them.

Hi Gerry
I would be taking this up with Nissan as the brochure for all Tekna UK models shows a Thatcham Alarm which to be approved as a Cat 1 has to have internal sensors. Only the European export models came with out an alarm see my screen shot from brochure
Hope it helps
Nick
