You can find proof at Autotrader. Here's a 2019 1.3 with the OLD system:

The OLD system is readily identified by both the SD card slot (top right) and the middle two buttons on the right which have dual symbols on them (as well as other buttons being different - but those two are obvious at a glance).

Needless to say a lot of people would have been disappointed - as I said check out other topics on here.

Another one - interestingly at the same dealer:

... and ...

EDIT - this one has even confused the dealer - it's advertised WITH CarPlay/Android Auto but it's the wrong infotainment system for that!

It's certainly a case of check carefully - if you're aware...

Every time I drive my 1.3 160 auto QQ I am amazed by how good the engine is. It has bags of low down torque meaning that you can make swift progress in almost silence from the engine. It is a remarkably good engine.

I haven't driven a 1.2 so can't comment on that.....

Covsteve, we have had our 1,2L for 5 years now and our Motor has never missed a beat. To me this Motor is completely adequate for town and Autobahn driving, but is a Little restricted when being used in hilly Areas as you have to use the Gearbox a lot. The trick with this Motor is the Revs which means you have to give it a bit of a boot (Turbo) from standstill but it does feel and acelerate quickly.
I have driven the 1,3L 160PS / DCT now 3 times and I am very impressed with its pickup, speed, smoothness and quiteness. To me the 1,2L is quite but the 1,3L is even quiter and naturally now cleaner - Dave :)

I've just swapped my 1.5 dci for the 1.3 petrol and I've got to say I'm surprised at the grunt the engine has at low revs ....very similar to the diesel I've just got rid of.
Since then my cars gone back in for a couple of cosmetic issues and the dealer has borrowed me a 1.2 petrol version and I have to say theres no comparison with the pulling power of the engines....if you have a choice its gotta be the 1.3 all day long.
Regarding the entertainment system mine has the new system and it is a 68 plate registered end of January.
Previously a 61 plate diesel ntec now a 68 plate 1.3 petrol tekna.

Is the new 1.3 engine oil level dipstick any easier to read the old 1.2 engine used to leave oil all over the stick. ???? DAVID

I find it best to take the dip-stick out, wipe it, then leave it out for a few minutes letting the shaft drain, then pushing it in very gently and retracting.
