Aftermarket Headunit 360 cams

Hi. First time poster and I'm desperately after some advice. I own a 2013 qashqai+2 360 and I would like to replace the head unit with an Android model. I have been to see a specialist audio installer and he tells me it's impossible to keep the 360 cameras working if I replace. I would also like to keep the steering wheel controls as well. Is the specialist correct or is it possible to have the cameras working with the dedicated button. Many thanks for any advice.

if you search something like "Android" you should hit a few threads about the positives and negatives of swapping your head unit.

Hi MikeGC, I've done all that with no real definitive answer. I've read about bus adaptors as well etc but still dont know if this will work and whether I need 2 bus adapters, one for the cameras and one for the steering wheel controls.

In that case you might have to:-
1. wait until someone versed in electronics happens along or
2. send private messages to some of the contributors to the other threads, in case they don't stumble across this thread.
