The engine oil is supposed to have a service life of 12 months (approx). I've almost doubled that on other cars with engines going onto 120k miles. The temp rating won't make much difference between W30/W40. I've kept to Fully Synthetic (FS) of various makes..even Halfords cheapest. I've probably mixed FS grades on top ups, but it all sloshed about ok. Stopped using minerals about 20 odd years back
I entered my Reg on EuroCarParts site and came up with about four W40 and one W30. Pay your money and take your pick?
Whats the matter with the 1.2L engines? Burning/leaking or both?
