Mirror Indicator Replacement

Hi All,

Not sure if this has been previously posted but after some advice on replacing the indicator strip of drivers side mirror after someone smashed it!

However the wiring is different- my old strip had a connector that just unplugged where as this has a wiring coming out of it if a slightly different colour- how should this be wired in?

Looks like you have ordered the led one from the ebay link you have posted. Try this one..

Have already purchased - attached is how the item has come- no plug in like the old wire but direct wired so unsure how best to fit.

Thought it might be a straight swap out.

It appears you have ordered the replacement that is not plug n play so to speak. Other folk that have ordered this type have had to cut the wiring and then solder the wires together, not altogether an easy job. I ordered some plug n play ones from Ali Express a while ago, and they were a straight forward swap. If you search for the thread "I've mounted dynamic turn signals," it's a great thread which will explain more and I have posted photos too. They are great indicators as strobe and are much brighter than the originals. Here is the link to the one's I bought, although it says they are no longer available - https://www.aliexpress.com/item/33042649499.html . Might be worth searching Ali Express to see if anyone else is selling plug n play ones, then maybe get a refund on the one's you bought if you don't fancy chopping and soldering wires!

Even if the plugs are wrong and have t be off and the new wires soldered on and using heat shrink wrapping it took me 1 hour to do both mirrors, I hadn’t realised the irginals only have led at each end hence why they are poor to see in daylight,
