How do you tell if your 1.5 dci Engine is a Nissan or Renault Engine? saw a post on FB QQ Page; where op, said his 2017, QQ 1.5 dci engine was a Renault engine. Are they all Renault? or maybe mixed production of Nissan & Renault?

it will have stamped at the bottom of the engine renault. next time your car goes in for an oil change ask if you can have a look at the bottom of engine near the sump plug and you`ll see the words.

Mostyn, from what I know all the Diesels are manufactured by Renault and the engine is a co-developement between Nissan & Renault. Take a read of these attachments they might help - Dave

NMUK Sunderland : 1.2 turbo, 1.2 supercharged, 1.6 and 2.0 litre petrol engines are built on-site on the Unit Assembly line. The cylinder heads and camshafts are machined along the machining line before being shipped to the Assembly line. The Unit Shop contains its own engine testing areas. Diesel engines are no longer produced at NMUK. Now the 1,3 is a joint developement with the Alliance & MB.

Most if not all QQ 1.5dci engines are Renault engines; Yes?

Mercedes is involved in the alliance too.

From reading above; only the 1.3 Engine is has MB input, and the 1.5dci is basically a Renault engine, Am I correct in that assumption ?

Mostyn, here is just a short comment, but it does appear that there is a deep tie up between MB & the Alliance in both Petrol & Diesel Engines Developements, which makes sense due to costs of developing and manufacturing - Dave

Now that is interesting, although when you think back to past Formula One Manufacturing Championships - Both Renault and Mercedes have won the accolades !
So my 2018 QQ N-Connecta has a Renault 1.5dci engine?

One more question; please enlighten me on the emissions standard for the 1.5dci engine is it Euro5 or Euro6 or even above ?
