Going on a family trip to center parcs. It will be our first time driving so I would love to bring our own bikes. Baby doesnt need one, just me and the wife. I went into the nissan shop and said roof rack or towbar. Issue with roof rack is we have underground parking so bikes would have to be taken off each time we parked. And he said a towbar would be around £400-500.
Has anyone had any luck with generic ones? It's a qashqai 2019 model.

A mate at work is a keen caravanner and he always uses Witter towbars.
He has a 17-reg QQ and paid something like £450
I'd be tempted to save the money and hire a bike when you get there - unless you plan to tow lots in future.

I have a Brinks detachable tow bar on my QQ 2014 J11 all you can see when the tow bar is not fitted in a small black cap. I did need a small cut out of the rear bumper, but it is not visible. If you go for the tow bar option, they are normally swan neck so will need an appropriate bike carrier.
Past cars Mercedes B Class, S Class, E Class Estate, E Class Coupe, G Wagen, 260E interspersed with Peugeot 406 and Audi Coupe.
