Hi,

I have a 2014 nissan qashqai and keep getting this message on my connect sat nav. Continuous touch detected. please remove object from screen. i have reset the unit had it updated by a dealership. Used compressed air around the sides to remove any dirt. But the message keeps showing. It works fine but i have to use the diles to get to the functions i want.

Has anyone had any similar issues or know of any majic fixes. Its driving me mad.

thanks

Welcome to this forum.

I never saw that on mine and I don't recall seeing anyone else mentioning it.

Use paper to slide it in between the screen and the black trim to make sure you get every single bit of dust or debris out, if it still persists then you can contact bosch repair centre to get a new screen fitted or get a new radio or a second hand radio and get it linked to the NATS system by a dealer
Hope this helps

Thanks all for the replies, i have tried everything. compressed air and paper down the sides with no luck. It works fine but have to use the diles to get to the menus i want. The dealership says 3000 pounds for a new one. Seems silly when all that's affecting it is a message.

Next step i think is find a sat nav specialist that can maybe diagnose the problem.

Thoughts:

Don't think GPS/Sat Nav specialist can help.
Nissan prices are well off the clock. A 2nd hand unit could be a problem. You likely have an opportunity here to change the whole box for a newer after market Android unit. That subject is discussed at length on this site:
