Hi all. My Qashqai 2011 petrol, when the interior gets very hot, the radio lcd fades out totally. It’s only started this year.
Is this common, and is there a fix? Thanks for any information.

This problem occurs with some earlier VW Golfs and Passats also. What I remember of that was the ribbon cable feeding the LCD unit can separate due to surrounding heat. Heat is no friend of electrics/electronics. There is no easy fix.

I had the same problem.
I took the radio apart and cleaned all the contacts between screen and the body of the radio. It made no difference.
You can get replacement screens but for the price and inconvenience plus the cd player was also dying I decided to get an Android Head Unit.
