My journey to work is 32 miles of mixed roads (B, A & M). I generally average at about 45 mph, dictated by traffic volume and my best fuel consumption is 72 mpg (1.6 dci AP).

Lowest for my 1.2 is around 35/36. Average is around 44. Highest I've had is around 63. I've had over 60 a few times. Once you learn the engine and drive carefully then you can get a lot out of it. Its almost 3 weeks since I last filled up and my old car used to need filling once a week. So I'm very impressed!

The roads I drive on to/from work don't allow me to get any higher than 40. However I know it can do more on a sensible run on the motorway so not too bothered. Still better than the 30/35 I was getting out of the Almera anyway. More or less every 2 weeks between fill ups for me!

According to the lie computer it's about 60mpg on a motorway run through a lot of 50mph "specs" cameras.Average is much closer to 42/43mpg for my day to day driving (which isn't really anything over 40mph).

Had to go do a km/l convertor but I mainly struggle to get better than about 45mpg as virtually all my journeys are at around 140kph on empty toll roads. Although a short run into town got me 69mpg (mainly downhill!) yesterday
