I had a look round. Can't see the post mentioned. Can someone give me a link.

I drove the car. Really nice. Paid Β£500. Collect tomorrow.

The sales guy said that the car could have been sat with Nissan and be pre-reg. So, they could have been the original owner. When the owner bought, he was therefore registered as the second owner? That doesn't make sense to me. LOL. A car dealer cannot be considered as the owner ever - I assumed that's just how it works?? The sales guy was really nice and didn't seem as though he was making it up or anything.

As I understand it, the dealer "buys" the car to keep sales figures and therefore Nissan discounts up.
It can be a very cheap way to get a new car, th e dealer absorbs the VAT, etc.

You need to be aware that the descriptions at that trader are not always correct - here's the old radio - so it doesn't have AA/C:

Surely if MrMatrix has paid a deposit on the interested QQ the Company would have update and removed it from their Website as the QQ is supposedly β€œSold”. Hopefully the attachments are what you wanted - Dave πŸ˜‰

@gloucester What's 'AA/C'? Gone from listing because I've now bought I guess.
I was hoping it would have Bose sound. Can't see Bose mentioned anywhere. Bose is there for newer models. It's not a deal breaker.

@DaveBerlin Thanks for being a star. Looking at those links now.
I have one piece of paper that seems to have relevant info.
See the screenshot below:

I've only scan read the first page. The Chassis number falls outside of those identified?
Let me know what you think.
Thanks.

MrMatrix, well from the existing Data it looks like you are safe and it could well be that the QQ could have been re-programmed which you will most likely never find out unless it is stated in the Service Book or the previous Owners filed their Bills which you have access to.
Remember there are a lot of QQ’s around plus other Alliance models with this engine so I would think you are OK.
Perhaps you should ask the Dealer if a problem does arise what Guarantee is there if any, asking never hurts !
Our 1,2L was a nice Motor (5 years) never had a problem with it and definitely no Oil useage, but just as a Tip check your Oil Level frequently naturally with the Stick - no digital readout.
Just pick it up, Drive it, check it out, play with the Bells & Whistles and Enjoy it - Dave πŸ™

Dave, you're a star. πŸ™‚
Thanks for the reply - super helpful.

QUESTION: would you guys suggest doing a major service?
My friend says always do this and don't rely on what the seller has told you (even if buying from a big company).

It should (must) have service/repair documents with it. So check for that first.

I suppose I shouldn't be a "nanny type" here but can I suggest you and others remove the car VIN and other related data (pic) from this site...its very public.
