Thanks - how about using Waze, Spotify? Was the configuration still poor for this?
I think I’m more concerned that the salesman has sold as could be used but clearly not... a lengthy conversation with the sales manager I believe is needed...
.
You need to be specific about which Connect unit your car has.
My 2017 had the SD card Connect, connectivity is limited to making and receiving calls hands free and reading and dictating text messages. It played iPod via the USB slot and a cable.
My 2019 has the latest Connect unit (without the SD card slot) and is compatible with CarPlay and Android Auto. It works with Apple Maps, Google Maps, Waze and other navigation Apps. in addition to calls, text messages and WhatsApp messages.

Hi i have a brand new qashqai with the latest connect system with aa and apple car play so i downloaded the connect app and it also will not accept my vin number so i rang nissan and was told that the app does not support the qashqai anymore , only the leaf and juke.
So i was told to download the nissan door to door app which only lets you link to the sat nav .
I was told that because i have android auto that will link to the phone apps.
Also was told that you cant remotely access air con in the door to door app so its only sat nav based.
Cheers Jim.
