My Qashqai leaves tomorrow after 6 years and 95000kms of almost faultless service. The faults (a dead battery after 18 months and an initial cruise control fault) were due to faulty batches of components used in manufacture. The car has done everything we have asked of it and it still looks like new. The CVT gearbox, considered by many to be awful, has been utterly excellent.
Have I bought another Nissan? The Qashqai back in 2014 was a great package, small wonder so many of us bought it. The latest version looks equally good but it is not for me. I take delivery of a new Škoda Superb iv combi tomorrow - yes, I needed the space!
My thanks to this forum for allowing me to vent my spleen regarding one of the initial faults and providing expert advice which led to the solution.
