Probably looking to stick with Diesel engine and under £12k.

Been looking at the differences between the tekna and n-tec+ models and only obvious things are the wheels and seat material. Am I missing any thing else?

Yes - a lot!

For £12,000 dealer price you're looking at a 2015/2016/2017 range for a Tekna depending on mileage.

Here's a September 2015 comparison chart. The n-tec+ was replaced with the N-Connecta shortly afterwards (I think, Nissan keep meddling with the available trim levels - the n-tec+ isn't listed in the February 2016 brochure)

EDIT - just noticed Park Assist is missing there?

It's a pity this forum doesn't have a "Files" section - I've got around 50 PDF brochures.

I picked up my 2016 QQ Tekna at the weekend, very impressed with it so far. Haven’t been too far as currently wfh, but looking forward to trying out all the new tech my 2011 QQ didn’t have.

Hi, I’m new here, as just got Tekna 1.7 diesel automatic.
I had done research on reliability and I know the QQ doesn’t score well for that, but is still very popular.
My previous car was a Renault Captur and I just got my pre registered QQ 2 days ago. I had one for 5 days while my Captur was in for a warranty replacement of its rusty tailgate in June ‘19, and didn’t want my Captur back, as loved the QQ!
Unfortunately my new QQ has an engine management light on, yellow one, after around only 50 miles and I’m taking it back to dealership tomorrow, hoping it’s merely a sensor causing it. Let’s wait and see...
My advice is to go for the trim level you can best afford, weighing up whether you think it’s worth the extra cost for a couple of extra features. I had decided on the Tekna + 1.5 diesel but changed my mind and got Tekna 1.7 4WD drive one instead, with my opinion being the slightly lower spec one was worth the extra £2k approximately for the 1.7 and 4 WD, even with losing the colour coded wheel arches and bumper trims.
I love driving the car, but the LED lights are not bright enough for me, as I’ve never had LED before, and found my standard Captur lights brighter. Also there’s no beam adjustment on the LED ones...
Enjoy your new car, whichever you choose!

Rabbieboy, here are some comments on the QQ from the What Car Survey for vehicles aged 5 to 20-years-old. OK we had a few problems at the beginning with our QQ J11A (2014) - Battery / Air Con Condenser / Electronics .. but once sorted it was reliable for 5 years. Our J11B is now 1 year old and at present we have not had one problem, so hopefully it stays that way - Dave 😉

“However, it wasn't great news for Nissan, which produces cars in Sunderland. Of the 27 brands, it was placed 26th with a 70.4 % Reliability Rating and the Qashqai SUV - both old and current - scoring badly with owners.”

Here is another one of those “Reliability” Test Reports from “WhatCar” and again Nissan do not come out well in their comments except for their electric car which is in huge demand right now, buyers will be keen to know that the Nissan Leaf is according to owners performing best for reliability - Dave 🤨
