We’ll chaps and chappesses, time to leave this group!

I’ve embraced the 21st century and bought an MG5 ev. Current QQ we’ve owned since 6 months old and apart from a battery (£235), tyres, servicing, 1 warranty claim for an O2 sensor and 2 manu recalls, over 5 years and 36k she’s been brilliant, although I’d have preferred more power and better economy.Bought following a brain haemorrhage as it’s easy to get in and out of, auto cvt, diesel, fitted our needs especially as I had a company A4 se ultra diesel auto saloon, Retirement post stroke the A4 went so QQ became main car. Had decided that either we swapped it now whilst value was good or run it into the ground. Well, £5,5k off list for an 8 Mile preregistration , 7 year warranty, £14pm service plan and £1500 more for the QQ than I thought deal was done, yes I’ll miss some toys but in reality the heated front screen and auto parking I used a couple of dozen times in total. So I’ll leave you all and wish you well. 1 final numpty moment was when i was clearing her out I took off the remnants of hardware for the aborted electric tailgate install I couldn’t get the tailgate to lock without a ‘mislock’ sounder going off. Spent 2 hours figuring that out and realised I’d had to unbolt the fuel and bonnet releases under the steering wheel to take out 1 of the ECU’s and I’d omitted to shut the bonnet properly afterwards. Duh!

Scimitargtc, Sorry to see the leaving message that you are deserting the QQ Forum but at least you can give us some facts on your new MG later. It was nice to read your positive comments on the QQ as it normally gets a bashing. I hope after all your Medical issues that life improves for you and you enjoy your time with the MG.
I have posted an MG post which I held back until reading your comments that you are getting one.
So All the Best, Stay Healthy & Enjoy your Retirement which incidently is not that bad - Regards Dave 😉
