If your car didn't come with rails, speak to your dealer or check ebay they may offer singles

If you have a QQ without the Roof Rails installed as it appears IMHO I would think that this is a Major Task to take on to install these Rails as an after thought. It is highly possible that Nissan have Tooled Up the manufacture and that the Fixing Holes are already pre-drilled but then you have to drop the Roof lining to install them etc.... Just for an example the cost of one Rail was given to me by our Dealer here as around UK 185 Pounds. The other Option would be to install the Load Carrier Aluminium for T-Track System which looks simplier. In both cases IMHO I would consult a Specialist whether it be Nissan or Other when you are refering to Loading. These are available from Glyn Hopkins and also from ebay for example.I hope this Information is of some assistance to you - Dave Cross Bars for Roof Railing : These
genuine Nissan accessory cross bars are suitable for all models with roof-rails
as standard (Tekna). Giving you the opportunity to add a bike carrier, ski
carrier or roof box up top, sold seperately.

Transportation Solution : For New
Qashqai (J11E) WITH Roof Rails - Tekna / Add Additional
Accessories Up Top / Perfect-Fit / Genuine Nissan Accessory (UK 170)

Load Carrier
- Aluminium (for T-Track) : Adding the genuine Nissan accessory aluminium load carriers will allow
you to add additional storage space on top of the new Qashqai. Suitable for
carrying a small or medium sized roof box. Utilise the T-Track system to safely
secure additional accessories to the load carriers.

Note: Suitable for models with/without
panoramic glass roof : Touring Accessory / Transportation Solution / Add
Additional Storage Up Top / Aluminium Roof Bars (Pair) / T-Track System / Max
Load Capacity 75kg / Genuine Nissan Accessory (UK 170)

Just a thought: some folks here have had their rails replaced at the dealer's simply because the plastic end cap became discoloured (Nissan dictated replacing the entire assembly instead of just the plastic bits). If anybody managed to get their original rails when collecting their car after this job, there may be some used rails kicking about for sale! Might be worth doing a site search and contacting anybody who had this job done.

Nicholas, a good thought, I also tried this out but was told that the parts had to be returned to Nissan for "Analysis" and I suppose theortically they do belong to Nissan as they have been replaced. But it is worth a try in the UK it might just work - Dave

I bet whole cost of exercise passed on by Nissan to the unfortunate suppliers!(Even more unfortunate if they only supplied end caps)

Dugald, I found this as I was also interested in how the Job was done. This is the Installation of Roof Bars with Cross Bars on a QQ J10 (2010) by 4x4.com. Remember this is just an example of the involvement - Dave https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nIe3rTg ... e=youtu.be
